The New Leadership We Need In Vadnais Heights
Steve has lived in Vadnais Heights since 2007. After he and his wife Jennifer were married, they bought a house here that checked all their boxes. Close to work, beautiful views of the protected wetlands, great hiking and biking trails in Lake Vadnais and Sucker Lake; and easy access to Minneapolis and St. Paul.
You’ll find Steve enjoying many of the local activities in Vadnais Heights. Steve has participated in the Vadnais Heights Snail Runs. He and Jennifer never miss Heritage Days with the live music, the Lion’s pulled pork sandwich, and fireworks. Steve attends the Community Ice Cream Social and has signed up for Park and Rec activities to work off the Culver’s frozen yogurt.
The wetlands, which is a defining feature of Vadnais Heights, lets Steve enjoy the many different varieties of birds. He and Jennifer especially appreciate the family of Sandhill Cranes who have made the backyard their home. However, the wetlands now also bring a less welcome visitor - the muskrats - who dig up the yard!
A sales professional with just over 30 years of experience, Steve has spent the last 13 years in technology sales. He has been in management and mentor positions throughout his career.
Steve serves as DFL Precinct Chair for Senate District 42, Precinct 2 after serving a year as Vice-Chair. He volunteers at Neighborhood House in St. Paul and has past volunteer experience at Big Brothers, Big Sisters. He also served on the capital campaign committee at his church in 2012.
Though Steve lived in Minnesota as a young child, he spent 10 years of his youth living with his family in Clear Lake, Iowa, graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a minor in Journalism. He’s been very happy as a Minnesota-resident returnee!
